Flystudio establish in 2001, one of the leading Animation & VFX production studios in Malaysia. Our business covers pre-production, animation production and VFX solutions. The company has more than 19 years of experiences technical team, produced critically acclaimed international film projects including: GANTZ – 0, Metal Gear Solid, Resident Evil , Tekken, Ne Zha and many more, , work along with top Japan, Korea, China and US production companies, committed to providing high-quality, high-efficiency professional services for many years.

The company is located in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia, with multi-cultural urban conditions, government openness and preferential policies. It brings together a large number of outstanding technology and creative talents from Asia Pacific and has gradually developed into an Asia Pacific outsourcing center.

Our History
2001 Established in Year 2001, Flystudio start as a CG (Computer Generated) Production Studio, provided TVCM and Feature Film VFX production service. Founded by couples of ambitious young “visionaire”.
2003 Flystudio produce TVCM Munchy’s – Mini Tiger Bar, the exceptional quality won us 3rd prize in Anicomm Awards (US) for World Best Commercials. In the same year, Channel [V] – TheTicket won us the Kancil Award – Best Use of Motion Graphic, director by Steve Bristow.
2004 Flystudio was awarded the contract to produce VFX for many local Feature Films like Pontianak, Gong, Buli Balik. One of the major feather project ‘Senario XX‘ involved more than 20 heavy CG scene.
2005 Flystudio was awarded the contract to produce Tourism Malaysia animated marketing video for the countries of Japan and Korea. We created the CG character ‘SITI‘ with emphasis on feminine & graceful animation style. ‘SITI‘ brings not only Malaysia Scenery to Oversea but also the level of local animation to a new standard.
2006 Flystudio quality work has attracted international game developer into our clientele. We have thus far set foot on 3D in-game projects, and are on track to expand into this industry. Partnered with Igloo Digital Art Inc. UK establishes Igloo Digital Arts Sdn Bhd.
2007 Flystudio changes team structure from all generalist to having several department. This allows artists to focus on their strength skills. This approach brings Flystudio closer to success by growing and expanding our workforce in a very short time, also venturing into Indonesia TVCM market Soyjoy – Soypermarket.
2008 Flystudio produce ‘Nippon Pain Blobby‘ TVCM, the exceptional quality won us Merit in Kancil Award for Best Animation of 2008, and shine Flystudio the top brand in Malaysia TV commercial industry.
2009 Flystudio ventures into the overseas TVCM market by produce TVCM for India, Vietnam, China and Dubai. We also started venturing into game cinematic projects from Japan. We successfully delivered many renown work in TVCM; major projects includes Astro B.yond HD, one of the longest in Malaysian television commercial history in High Definition (HD).
2010 Flystudio was awarded the contract to produce Nippon Paint ‘Bobbly’ 2010 based on the success and impact made by ‘Blobby’ from the previous year. ‘Blobby’ 2010 continues to make a long lasting impression on the minds of the viewer. In the same year, projects like Suntory Boss – Traffic Jam, Honda – 4SEATER+IDEAS also achieved great success. Same year, Igloo Digital Arts Sdn Bhd acquired by Lemonsky Animation Sdn Bhd.
2011 Flystudio joins the Digital Frontier Group, our first major Animated Feature project Resident Evil: Damnation starts, with our studio providing modeling, animation, simulation and effects works to the Japan production team. Our production teams worked along side with Digital Frontier team, and we redirected our focus exclusively to Game Cinematic and Animated Feature projects.
2012 “Resident Evil Degeneration” released in Shinjuku Piccadilly and three other theaters for a limited 2-week period. Box Office sales surpassed 40 million yen and sold 1.6 million DVD & BD copies worldwide. In the same year, Flystudio sets up our game art division; starts project METAL GEAR RISING REVENGEANCE, with our studio providing game assets to Konami Digital Entertainment, Japan.
2013 Participated in the production of the video game “Ryuu ga Gotoku Isshin“.
2014 Participated in the production of the video game “Ryuu ga Gotoku 0“.
2015 Participated in the production of the CG feature film “GANTZ:O“, and the video game “Ryuu ga Gotoku 6“.
2016 Participated in the production of the TV 3DCG anime series “Infini-T Force“, the video game “Tekken 7“, and in the arcade game ““Magician’s Dead” (Modeling).
2017 Flystudio acquired by its founder, Mr. Wee Meng Hee, breaking down the company into small and cross-functional teams. Start ventures into China movie industry, co-produce Ultraman VR movie, TV series, Feature Film and Theme Park.
2018 Flystudio China branch officially launch in April 2018 in Shenzhen, 深圳市飞动科技有限公司. Flystudio was awarded the contract to produce NeZha and Jiang Ziya. and Cooperate with Mara Corporation in talent training. The training courses cover Animation and VFX.
2019 Flystudio was awarded the contract to produce Netflix: The Ghost Bride, approx. 300 VFX shots in Ultra HD/4K finishing. and Cambridge”Super Mind” 30 episode animated series.
2020 Flystudio was awarded the contract to produce Netflix: Mr. Midnight, The Great Yokai War: Guardians, Japanese fantasy film directed by Takashi Miike, A Mathematician in Wonderland, Devel, Bashira and Ajwan, the first ever sci-fi animated series from the MENA region. We also win the Digital Content Grant 2020 for our IP project, Stella War.
2021 Flystudio and Pop FIlms collaborate to expand its market reach, by introducing Asian film production and Animation/VFX services to North American and European clients. This effort is led by Andy Sim, a producer with vast experience in Film and Post production throughout the region. Flystudio was awarded the contract to produce VFX for Cloudy Mountain《峰爆》, the film opens at the top of the China box office with $19.1m in three days. collaborate with Warner Bros Animation to bring the new 3d look of Animaniacs.
